Paul has over twenty years senior manager experience developing and deploying business strategy with clearly defined outcome and actionable steps. He has a passionate, challenging and determined style with an excellent track record in driving change at all levels. Combining planning skills with a leadership style that is motivational, consultative and engages team’s skills he is results orientated and uses highly effective interpersonal skills to work with a wide range of stakeholders.

He has a Master of Business Administration from the Open University, a Diploma in Training Management, and is a Master Practitioner of NLP. A Member of Chartered Institute of Marketing , Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and Business West.

Achievements

Sales & Marketing


	Responsible for sales income of over £100 million he put in place a clear strategy, effective performance management, and extensive team and individual coaching leading to both increased sales and and a sales orientated culture.

High Performing Teams


	Having taken on the worst performing region ( composed of 14 area managers and 1300 branches ) he adopted a balanced scorecard approach which transformed performance within 2 years and delivered a positive contribution to the bottom line of £ 33 million.

Strategy & Business Planning


	Leading on development of a prioritised and quantified business plan that was actionable at all levels of staff. Implemented a Total Quality model of " Team Route to Excellence " within which the creativity element was incorporated in a case study by Peter Cook in his book " Best Practice Creativity "

Leadership


	He has extensive experience years researching, developing and running training programmes. Specialist areas were leadership (including ISM and NEBSM accredited courses), strategic management and trainer training (ITD accredited courses).

Neuro-Linguistic Programming


	A Master Practitioner of NLP he has made explicit use of the relevant tools and techniques to help both teams and individuals increase their ability to create rapport with customers and clients and generate increased sales levels.

Role in Buffin Leadership International


Based in Bristol Paul’s aim is to work with independent businesses to " deliver sustainable business performance improvements". Whether a business is going through the growing pains of success or dealing with a shrinking marketshare he will help to manage the change process and ensure both bottom line performance improvements as well as a more motivated and focussed team.
